For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Rare 2000 Pelikan M924 "TALE OF A WHITE TIGER" Asia Limited Edition 580 of 888 Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Medium Nib. This fountain pen has never seen ink and comes with Pelikan White Tiger literature, a limited edition card, and original inner and outer boxes. I consider this Pelikan White Tiger Fountain Pen in New Old Stock, Never Inked, Mint Condition.

NOTE: The "White Tiger" has an edition of only 888 pieces. The number 8 in China and the Far East is a lucky number, hence the limited edition number of 888. The White Tiger belongs to a pantheon of four auspicious heavenly beasts in Chinese mythology. The other three are the dragon, phoenix, Xuan Wu. The White Tiger is the deity of retribution. The White Tiger is a fortuitous sign that heralds good fortune and good health, protects the worthy, and punishes the bad. 

With the skilled hands of the finest craftsman from the House of Pelikan, the White Tiger is wondrously and individually carved into a sleeve of solid 925 sterling silver overlaid with 24K gold. 

There are absolutely no nicks, chips, cracks, wear, or repairs to this fountain pen. The cap of this fountain pen displays the pearlized white color and gold-plated trim. Just above the top of the clip on the cap displays the Limited Edtion number "580/888". The cap banding is stamped with, "PELIKAN GERMANY Ag925". The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. The barrel displays the White Tiger artwork on a Sterling Silver vermeil overlay (I stitched together a photo so one can see the detail as if it were laid out flat in image 8). This Pelikan White Tiger Fountain Pen was manufactured in Germany in 2000 and has the two-chick cap logo on top of the cap. This Pelikan measures 5 5/8" inches in length capped and 6 3/8" inches posted.

The Piston Filler works with such ease in my tests with water. The piston filler works flawlessly and operates smoothly every time! 

The original boxes and literature of White Tiger accompany the fountain pen. All are in excellent condition.

The NIB is an 18C/750 two-tone type with a medium point. The actual fountain pen tipping/iridium measures .82mm when measured using digital calipers. This pen was never inked nor did I ink it only to keep it in New Old Stock condition for the new collector.
