This lightweight Beta is an all-mountain, all-season hardshell waterproof from Arcteryx designed with a disciplined simplicity that maximizes its versatility. Light, durable 40D GORE-TEX fabric delivers waterproof, windproof protection and has a C-KNIT™ backer for elevated softness and breathability.
The helmet-compatible StormHood™ gives full coverage without impeding sightlines, and a RECCO® reflector can aid in search situations. Pit zippers speed ventilation, and focused articulation improves freedom of movement.
The 40D face material is exceptionally durable for its weight meaning that even though the jacket is light, it’s still highly durable and up to most of what the outdoors can throw at it. The switch also makes a huge difference to the price meaning you only have to sell one kidney to be able to purchase a true all-weather shell.
